A website that works for everyone.
Our patients range from newborns to great-grandparents, and so do the people who use this website. We want every visitor to be able to book an appointment, find our phone number, and read about our services without barriers.
Our standard
Lubbock Family Medicine aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across this website.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with one clear heading per page and a logical heading order.
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators, including the menu and services list.
- Text and interface colors checked for WCAG AA contrast.
- Larger default body text and generous line spacing for readability.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Motion is minimal and respects the operating system setting to reduce motion.
- Links that open in a new tab say so for screen reader users.
- Phone numbers are tappable on mobile devices.
Third-party services
Online scheduling, the patient portal, bill pay, and our careers page are provided by outside vendors and open in a new tab. We do not control the accessibility of those sites. If you have difficulty using them, call us and we will help you by phone.
Documents
Our new patient paperwork is a PDF designed for printing. If you need it in another format, or would like to complete it with staff assistance at the clinic, please call ahead.
